Contemporary Textile Artist UK: Process, Material & Place
As a contemporary textile artist based in the UK, my practice explores the relationship between material, memory, and landscape.
Working from my studio in Cornwall, I create mixed media textile artworks inspired by the coastline and natural environment surrounding the Helford River.
My process is rooted in slow making. I combine traditional textile techniques such as stitching and layering with experimental approaches including reclaimed materials, natural pigments, and printmaking processes.
This combination allows each artwork to evolve intuitively over time, shaped by both intention and chance.
My aim is to create work that feels emotionally resonant — pieces that bring calm, texture, and a sense of place into contemporary interiors.
